Teacher Application Fall 2019
Applications Due: January 21st
Afton State Park
The vision for the event is to create sacred space for women to go within, reflect, connect, rejuvenate, explore, heal, and transform in a variety of ways. We want to offer a diverse array of workshops for women to choose from that include movement, guided experiences, interaction, etc.
We aim to offer a variety of practical classes as well as spiritual.
We at the School of Earth Medicine view this gathering as a vehicle for women to share their gifts with each other, spark new ways to live, and create something that’s never been done before.
We are inviting teachers to share their offerings with the School of Earth Medicine community.
Afton State Park is located about 30-40 East of St Paul/Minneapolis. The site of the gathering is beautiful and it’s perched above the St Croix River with access to miles of hiking trails. Bathrooms and running water are available onsite. Accommodations include camping, camper cabins, and yurts.
Themes and modalities that we've offered in the past are: yoga, qigong, qoya, dance, Earth Medicine, ceremony, medicine making, women's health, herbalism, alternative medicine, astrology, shamanism, singing, sound healing, and women's cycles. We also are particularly interested in nutrition, sexual health, empowerment, art, meditation, and somatics.
How do we select our teachers?
We select teachers based on experience, modality type, and fit for the event. We aim to offer classes from teachers with a diverse array of ages, races, and life experiences.
